WE WORK
FROM THE LOG
FORWARD.

Integrated manufacturing gives KOSEE control over material character, project development and repeatability—from global wood sourcing to the finished decorative surface.

01 / SOURCE

Global Wood

Wood is selected across four continents, then imported to China for controlled processing.

KOSEE works directly with overseas forestry and log partners. Specific origins can be documented for applicable project and compliance requirements.

Veneer Manufacturing

The full veneer-making sequence is managed through KOSEE-operated facilities.

Log StorageOrganized by species, source and production planning.
Cooking & ConditioningControlled preparation for cutting.
Debarking & SawingLog breakdown aligned with grain objectives.
Slicing & Rotary CuttingQuarter, crown, rift and rotary methods.
DryingStabilization before trimming and grading.
Trimming & GradingAAA / AA / A / AB / B classification.
PackingBatch identification and project handling.
Global DeliveryAir, LCL, container, FOB, CIF and DDP.
03 / COLOR

Color Development

Color can begin with Pantone, RAL, a physical sample or a project-specific material direction.

KOSEE can develop light or deep coloration and through-dyed veneer. Custom color programs generally begin around 200 m². Up to approximately 800 m² can be processed in one controlled dyeing batch, subject to species and project requirements.

Pantone / RAL MatchingColor direction translated into veneer.
Physical Sample MatchingDevelopment against client references.
Through-dyed VeneerColor penetrates beyond the surface.
Batch ControlMaster sample and ΔE monitoring.
04 / DEPTH

Smoking & Heat

Ammonia fuming and heat treatment create controlled shifts in depth, tone and character.

Light SmokeSubtle tonal movement.
Medium SmokeBalanced warmth and depth.
Deep SmokeDark, saturated character.
Project MatchingReference-based development.
05 / CRAFT

Marquetry & Inlay

Veneer becomes composition through geometry, repetition, radial movement and custom artwork.

Herringbone / ChevronClassic directional pattern systems.
Diamond / CheckerboardGeometric field development.
Radial / SunburstCentered and radiating compositions.
Custom CADLogos, artwork and project-specific patterns.
06 / RELIEF

Pressed Surfaces

Multiple layers of natural, smoked, dyed or engineered veneer are hot-pressed into tactile relief.

Approximately ten established patterns are currently available. Format can reach approximately 1.2 m in width and 6 m in length, subject to pattern, construction and project review.
